R.N.L.I. Lifeboat Station

AddressKilmore Quay, Co. Wexford

This project involved the complete refurbishment of the existing Lifeboat Station which meant the creation of more space within the existing building, the re-design the internal layout to provide better changing facilities and to make the souvenir unit accessible for people with disabilities while also upgrading the building to bring it in line with the current building regulations and standards.

These works also extended to works, resurfacing, footpaths, drainage etc. All these works were carried out alongside busy Kilmore Quay Pier and adjacent to busy main roundabout.

The project involved a complete reconfiguration of the internal layout of the building, including an extension in the form of a mezzanine over an existing double height space, improving insulation standards, the addition of energy efficient windows, airtightness and a designed passive ventilation system to make the building more energy efficient.
